We spent close to an hour working our way thru the Ember Bay JP and got all the checkpoints along the way, just after last check point our map was closed and we were moved automatically, we finally got to the top and get no achievement or able to open the chest

can JP progress when maps close please be fixed, as this does take quite a while. at any point in the JP if a map closes all you efforts are wasted, the the checkpoint progress is lost.

In the same vein, checkpoint progress is reset if you get disconnected.

Since my connection is highly unstable and I get disconnected all the time, this makes the JP pretty much impossible to complete for me.

Checkpoint progress should only be cleared when going to another map or when completing the jumping puzzle.

Checkpoints should be a maintained buff for XX:XX period of time tbh, even logging out or leaving map shouldn’t effect them since they’re only good for 1 map anyways. Too many people are getting disconnected due to zone bugs anyways.

@OP i have never heard of not getting credit for the JP if you miss a checkpoint, so if it’s any consolation all you missed out on was 1 yellow and some t3 crafting materials.

I had this happen yesterday. As far as I am aware, I hit every checkpoint. But when I got to the chest, I got the infamous “you are exhausted and can’t open the chest” message.

This happened to us an hour ago. The map closure kicked us before we made it to the top of the JP. Needless to say the 4 of us were cussing a storm after 3 hours of hard work getting up there in the first place. They really need to do something about this. Perhaps disable map closure on the map would be a start.

Almost the same thing happened to me today. I was on the last long flight before the last climb, then got DCd from the server, lost all the checkpoints and died. So I decided to use TP for the achievment, I did 99% of the JP anyway. Another mistake, even after teleporting on the end, running around and trying to repeat last part of the JP I am still unable to get achievment.
