Hello, I cannot sell mine Endless Halloween Tonic. I have no idea why. Cannot see it on Sell section on Trading Post.

Probably it becomes soulbound on first use: did you use it?

Well there isn’t a sign that it will become soulbound or account bound, even there wasn’t a warning.

Also when I first got it from a Trick or Treat bag I couldn’t sell it too

check if its in a safe box.

Tried to move to other character to see if it’s soulbound but it isn’t I can still place it in my inventory. And it’s not in a safe box.

Okey I bought Endless Toymaker’s Tonic and used it then I tried to place it on the Trading Post and I could do that. I think mine Halloween Tonic is bugged ;/ Others can place this tonic on Tradng Post but I can’t.

Can Dev answer this? What’s happening to my tonic?

I have the same issue, ran the same tests as well. I can move the halloween tonic to my other chars but cannot place into the TP.

so I am not the only one having such problem. Then we are waiting for an answer from the support. I bet they will know what happend.

I heard only tonics gotten after the event could be sold. The ones before were account bound

Confirmed. Got mine on drop one, can’t sell. I’m okay with that, but it should be noted as account bound (since it behaves that way).

So it doesn’t make sense, why our tonics cannot be sold? Saw few people selling it.
And why Anet is ignoring this topic?

For whatever reason, halloween tonics obtained before the (wintersday?) patch cannot be sold.

Mine was already account bound when I got it during the Halloween event.

Same as the above poster when they changed it, it just lost the tag but I still can’t put it on the TP.

I also have this problem, can’t sell it, yet there is 2 on trading post each cost 250 gold. So I think this is unfair, that one can sell it the other one cannot…wtf?

This issue is making me a bit grumpy. I got lucky and got two of them. I’d really like to sell one, because I only need one.

same issue here – cannot sell the tonic. I am sure I used it once though so if that soulbound it then I am screwed.

My understanding is that mine came soulbound so of course I used it and the patch removed the words. Still think if they are going to nmake these tradeable then they should be freely tradeable and not just for some people.

Edit – researching on the bug forum indicates that it is possible to unbug the tonics by buying another of the same type and stacking them. If that is correct then I think Anet should fix the issue rather than make me stop all legendary progress to save 250 gold to unstick my tonic and then lose 15% on both tonics in recouping the cost. If the darn things don’t sell then I am well out of pocket. As it is if I could sell this item I would have Bolt inside a fortnight.

Thanks for informations Aku Punksha. I am a bit dissapointed with this fixing the endless halloween tonic, because it shouldn’t work that way. I really don’t have such money to get another tonic.

Hmm – tried a friend who I thought had the tonic but they have the same bugged version as us. He tried the stacking an apparently it doesn’t work.

so i guess i am not the only one with this issue ? i noticed today that i cant put my tonic in my personal guild bank either , so i am guessing that it is still account bound ? it’s pretty sad that some people can sell theres while others cant . we all obtained them the same way would be nice for anet to fix this issue .

This issue also happens with the regular Halloween-themed tonics. Even though a lot of them are for sale on the TP, you can’t sell yours.

UNLESS! You buy one such tonic from the TP. Then it will stack with your old ones and all of a sudden (as if by magic) you can sell the entire stack O_o

Just for the record…

Even thought the fix to the tonics today, it is still the same (and i know the fix from today shouldn’t do anything to this bug…) just so they won’t forget us

I didn’t even realize that was a bug. The price of those is going to crash so hard if they are no longer bound.

It shouldn’t be as high as it is because of that in the first place

The patch notes say “Fixed a bug that prevented Endless Halloween Tonics from being listed on the Trading Post.” but the Endless Halloween Tonic I have is still not list-able. There are still only two options for it: “Use” or “Destroy”.

Just checked with the update, I still can’t sell my tonic..

Im dirt poor though so I don’t think I’m going to be able to sell it for as much as everyone is though lol

just want this out of my bank/inventory….. i don’t use tonics unless they give me achievements

Ok so the new patch it out and i can’t sell my tonic still . Is anyone that couldnt sell theres before able to sell theres now ?

so here is an idea , why not put an npc in lion arch so we can trade the one that are bugged for ones that arent ? Thank you Kazekun for the idea

I’m guessing not because there are 4 on the trading post.

I posted a new thread about this in the BLT forum, might want to lock it or merge with this one?
