Engineer magnet bug makes it unplayable
Sounds like scorpion wire. Thought that was ‘OK’ as noone fixed it for years.

I don’t know what’s been going on post feature patch, but teleports, pulls, and projectiles all have been bugging a lot for me.
Scorpion wire suffers a lot, I’ll get a pull off, but the pull bugs and they don’t move and just get knocked down. Or they get pulled a partial distance, or the wire connects on someone who is not LoSing, but then you get an obstructed message when it actually hits. Very annoying.
Teleports have been over shooting for, and steal has actually been stealing items sometimes without moving me to my target. Very annoying.
If the devs have watcher logs that can be enabled for specific accounts I’d recommend setting them to mine, because I experience these things daily.

For one, try not to mistake strength for difficulty. If you don’t think a nade engi is hard in the top levels of PvP then you’re just flat wrong.
For two, this is an actual bug and very frustrating to deal with.

engi is still really good if played well at a high lvl..
ive killed people to falling damage with pull… so its kinda balanced

A lot of teleport/projectiles skills have many issues with this lag.
Agreed that it’s a frustrating bug to try to work around. But it hardly makes the class as a whole “unplayable”. I think you are just being over dramatic.

with the bad magnet pull engi lost his strongest combo. It is like if Shatter misses for no reason or the steal from thief.
If it’s your pull not working, try getting the enemy in combat first.
E.g. skyhammer thief pull:
stealth -> stand on panel -> SB 1 -> scorp wire + dodge back
If the target isn’t in combat, the pull from magnet/scorp wire can miss.
Also, if the target dodges exactly as you pull they will only stumble.
Of course, there’s also buggy terrain, but you should check the above if you are on (seemingly) flat terrain.
