Not sure why a moderator deleted my last thread since I’m addressing a bug that not only I have experienced, but everyone else…Doesn’t make sense to delete a thread about a bug that’s affecting everyone? I’m screenshotting this for email reference if mod power continues to be abused here.

Anyways…Whenever we take a tower or a keep in EoTM (If it’s in normal wvw as well, confirm please), the chests that appear at the end after the capture does not drop dragonite ores or empyreal fragments. This is a bug that’s occurred since the most recent patch. I’m actually trying to farm dragonite ores and such. And this is not helping.

I would like to see some official word about this too – is this intended or not?

That’s what I’m wondering as well. I think this was accidental. I really hope so. That’s one of the better and few ways to farm dragonites.

An official word would be welcome, since a lot of people in map chat just say that they removed it.
Also, it’s every chest in the eotm that is affected. Every single objective that gives a chest, only awards badges of honor.

Noticed this myself last night showing a guildy around the place. Got only karma and Badges in the chest.

My fear is this is an intended change. Maybe this was added with the stealth attack WvW change. Either it will be removed or stay after that event?

Same for me.
I used to play few times in eotm to farm empyreal fragments. This is my best resource as I do not do dungeons, and empyreal fragments reward in pvp is far from enough.
And in world boss you get no empyreal fragment at all.

But since last patch I get no empyreal fragments in eotm, only badges.

I would also like to know if it’s a bug or intended, if only for documentation purposes on the GW2W.

I noticed this as well yesterday, reported it in game as a bug.

I hope it’s a bug. I don’t play enough PvE to accumulate enough dragonite to do anything of any import, and would jump in EotM to farm it on occasion when in need. Yesterday I hopped in EotM to farm a bit(first time in since Dec 16th patch), and there was none to be had. Now I wonder if they meant to remove empyreal fragments(because of the new dealio that converts them from Wintersday), and got both instead.
