15 minutes ago, I was gathering a party to enter a dungeon (Citadel of Flame, on the Gandara EU server). As one of my party members zoned from Hoelbrak to Wayfarer Foothills, he got kicked out of the game by the login servers with Error 42. (He called me by phone to explain this.)

10 minutes ago, one party member said he would zone to Lion’s Arch to gather a replacement party member. His status went to offline as soon as he left.

5 minutes ago, I gave up on the dungeon logged out to the character selection screen in order to play a different character on my account. I then received Error 42, and was kicked out of the game. Every time I attempt to log in, I get the same error and can no longer enter the game.

I suspect it may be a similar problem to launch day and the one-time Halloween cinematic. People are getting kicked out of the game because the login servers are not responding.

Is ArenaNet aware of this issue?

EDITED TO ADD: But logging in to the forum to post this succeeded without a problem.

The same. Third time in 24 hours – still not having access. The same with friend I was in a party with. Makes me wonder as there’s not much time left to LS.

And Gandara[EU] too.

Same error here. The screen report:

“The game client is unable to gain access to the log-in server at this time. This is most commonly caused by firewall or router settings, security applications, or connecting through a campus network. For additional support, please visit http://support.guildwars2.com.”

I was playing perfectly fine before I went to eat dinner, but when I came back I couldn’t login. I made no changes to my pc, router, etc, so I don’t think it’s a problem on this end. My server is Far Shiverpeaks, if that matters.
Edit: I also got error 42. Just to clarify.

Apparently, ArenaNet is aware of the issue now, due to a similar thread in the Tech Support forum:

I request a moderator to close this thread, or merge it to the other one, and I invite other people to respond in the other thread, and not here.

I get this same thing since the patch but ONLY on the trading post when going to buy or sell an item. . . Anybody else?
