Since the latest update, I have had issues with the game freezing my computer 5-30 minutes into each play session. I was playing last night and was randomly disconnected, I decided to go to bed and assumed the game just crashed again. I just booted up the game and selected the character, I was brought to a loading screen as usual, but instead of loading into the game I received an error message. That message being: “Please check your internet connection and try again. (Code=1083:5:7:1618:101)” After that, the process ends. I have reset my router and changed my IP already, so I’m not sure why I’m being told to check my connection. I have not found any resources to search GW2 Error codes, nor have I found anything on Google pertaining to the error code. Any help here?

I, too, have had that error but mainly just crashes here.

I am also getting this error code. Were you guys able to correct it? Or did you do anything that allowed you to get past that loading screen?

Alright I guess it must be crashed then. It seems like we all have great internet connection ha.

I restarted my computer and now mine is working. I don’t know if it was my reset, or maybe the issue has been fixed. So you might want to give it another try if you’re still getting that error code.

Similar issue, also resolved with a machine restart.

Had this happen a few times over the last couple days when I was just randomly loading in between maps or whatnot but now I almost can’t get on at all. I get into select a character just fine but as soon as I click to go into that character (tried most of mine) it’ll start to load in then about 10 seconds into it, it goes blank and I get that error message. I’ve even watched my active connectivity to my wireless as I’m doing this so I know that’s not it. Took me 8 tries to get into 1 of my characters a few minutes ago.

I use Google Chrome and had this same issue. I’ve had problems recently where I have to every time go into Google Chrome settings, click Show Advanced Settings, Change Proxy Settings, LAN Settings, and have to uncheck Use a proxy server for your LAN and the problems seem to disappear. I have to do this every time though. I kept getting this same error message, unchecked this under Chrome, and the game worked just fine afterwards. Not sure this will work for others, but it worked for me.
