Hope this is the right place and not a repeat topic. I have been getting “error attempting to sell” on a lot of items the past week when trying to sell on the Trading Post. Its not every item, and I have tried logging out and in, client restart etc. when it happens, but the same error. I will go down the list posting, several will fail, but when I try again after successful posts, the same items will post fine. Then some others will still fail, makes no sense and seems the failures are random. Has anyone else been seeing this? What can i do about it if anyone has found a workaround/fix? I play a lot with a friend of mine who has seen the same thing also. Thanks in advance!
Only workaround is to wait until trying to sell again. This bug has been in the game now for over a year. Anet has not acknowledged its existence, so we can assume that they have not planned to spend any developer resources fixing it or the trading post as a whole.
Oh wow, a year? I just noticed it personally in the past few updates, never had any trouble till then. And it seems to mainly be shamans and clerics gear.. Oh well, thanks for the feedback!
There is another topic about it, supposedly the error warning is an anti bot measure that appears if you post more then a certain number of items in an allocated time period.
