I can’t use the Recipe:Tray of Spicy Chocolate Cookies. This is the first Tray recipe that I’ve gotten from the Mystic Forge.

Me – Level 59 Mesmer, 400 Cooking skill.
Recipe – Tray of Spicy Chocolate Cookies
Requirements for recipe – 400 cooking/ lvl 80 to consume-use
Error – Upon clicking the recipe to learn it, game states in red “You have already learned this recipe!”

I have not learned this recipe, and it is nowhere to be found in my cooking panel.

My only speculation was that I needed to be lvl 80 to learn and prepare this as well? However, the level 80 requirement has always been for consumption on every other piece that I’ve ever prepared. Thank you for your time and attention, it is much appreciated.

I have the same thing happening with a tray recipe.
Hopefully someone will have a good answer to solve it.

same thing has happened to me. I’ve tried to learn the Tray of Omnomnberry Bars receipe, says I have already learnt it but I havent. I am a 33 mesmer but 400 cook and the intention was this toon was my cook “alt” so the lvl80 shouldnt be a requirement to learn/make the receipe but to use the result.

I can confirm that the “You have already learned this recipe!” does get used by the game if you are below the level required to learn the recipe. I had that for one of the stew recipes from Brisban Wildlands.

Just checked the tooltips for the Recipe item in game and it does have a Required Level: 80. So the only bug here is in the message. Although it is possible that level requirements on recipes are a remnant of some system that they removed but haven’t gotten around to fully removing.

ooh so once we’re lvl 80 on our characters the “error” should disappear then?

This is kinda what I thought was happening but is this really how the crafting recipe is designed ? so that it checks your “adventurer” level to be able to craft the item not your craft level ? Surely the check on Tray of Omnomberry Bars for example should be 400 Cook not lvl 80 adventurer. I will level my alt up but Ive done the grind to get a 400 cook with this Tray recipe and feel a bit annoyed that I cant now provide the item,

I am having the same problem with the recipe for Tortured Root. I tried it on a level 80 character as well and it still won’t let me learn the recipe. I have not tried it on a level 80 with 400 Jewelcrafting yet, but it doesn’t seem like level 80 is what it’s looking for. I’m thinking this is a bug on found recipes.
