Keep receiving a connection error message at random intervals (every 3 – 6 mins), thought i would report it for further investigation.
It hasn’t seemed to affect any of my game functions (friends list loads, guild roosters load, trading post is operating and logging in and out still works fine).
From the UK.
No firewall/ antivirus running.
Home network, connected directly to hub.
Note: This is really affecting my gameplay within WvW, the error message keeps blocking my FoV and prevents me from leading normally, so a response on how to fix would be very much appreciated.
This just started for me a few minutes ago, I get it every time I load but it has no impact on the game. It’s annoying though. I’ve made no changes to my software/internet settings, in fact, it started in the middle of a play session and hasn’t stopped, even if I close out the game completely.
The same thing here, I just signed into gw2 and I am a hardcore pvp player from BG. I went to go look at the pvp servers to grind some more for my marauder title and all the servers comes up blank with a repeating msg saying unable to gain access to the login server… so then i went into wvw thinking maybe pvp is having issues, but the same msg popped up while i was in wvw.. I thought I would check and post on the forums in hope that this issue can be resolved
This problem happened occasionally yesterday, and chronically today. Logging in, changing to a different character, or opening the Black Lion window cause it to happen every time. Merely waiting 5-6 minutes will also cause it. US Server/Continental US user.
Elsewhere I note the API server is down, and has been for a while.
Getting the same error, and frustrated as I got total d/c right at the last boss of COF P1, No loot…. also noticing that mobs aren’t dropping lesser and lesser loots =.=
NA Tarnished Coast, multiple reports in map chat of this, it’s been affecting me. Perhaps coincidentally, it began when I entered the bugged Kiel/Magnus instance. I have not yet closed the game to see if a restart changes it, because if I end up locked out of game I would be sad.
Getting this too the last 5 mins. Also yesterday I noticed some crazy lag for a period of 10 minutes and also an area load took literally 5 mins.
I suspect they are doing things behind the scenes. perhaps with regards to how the BLTC works (for example if I play for 8+ hours and try to use the TP I will ALWAYS get an error message like it has timed out or something) or it may even be to do with the culling issues.
Since when did this business of being a hero become being a business?

Tat’s not the issue we’re describing, it’s simply an obstructing window that falsely states we could not connect. The first time it happened for me, I could not close the window. I restarted but still got the error, however I’m able to close it now every time I load. I find it unfortunate though if it’s affecting EB :/
I just got the same error message pop up once I finished a AC story mode. It also keeps popping up every 3 minutes or every time I zone in, everything else is working normally. Tried switching connections even working on modem but now i see others are having the same problem too.
I also get the “couldn’t log in” while playing, already logged in. Started today after I entered the Caledon forest. Not sure if its related, but the tears puzzle in the mini-dungeon isn’t functioning for me either, but I’m not ruling it out as a simple coincidence either.
