Guild Wars 2

I use the ESC (Escape) key a LOT in combat in WvW/PvP, to cancel actions/skills. In the +2 years I have playing, I noticed the ESC key can be affected by lag (I suppose it send to server and back to client, like a skill), in WvW sometimes ESC key fails (does not cancel anything) and I need to hit it again for the cancel to work, sometimes more (spam the key), the problem with this is hitting the key too many times will show the game menu (log out, exit to desktop, etc), and I could click and log out/exit the game by mistake, plus the menu is in the middle on the screen and is not movable, sometimes I am forced to finish a fight with the menu on (to prevent a skill cancel by mistake). Could you maybe do something to fix this?

This menu on ESC key is still annoying me in WvW. Using the SAME key for Menu AND cancel skills, not a good idea, need an option to disable this.

You could change the key-binding for Panel: Open Access Escape to something else, perhaps. Accessible in Options, Control Options, Actions.

I must be blind because I don’t have that option.

Ahh..looks like the Wiki could use an update.

So, instead…Optons – General Options – User Interface – Disable Closing Windows with Escape

Perhaps, that will be helpful. I don’t know as I never use ESC for anything. /shrug

Edit: Well, I tried that, and it does nothing to disable the ‘Exit Game’ menu. No idea how to turn that off.

And…no idea what ‘Information Dialog’ is, as ‘N’ seems to do nothing, as well. Sorry.

That key works on PvP.

Ahh…considering I don’t PvP, it isn’t surprising I had no idea what it did! Lol. Thanks.
