It happened to me a few times before. I just noticed that the game ignores any input from my Esc key.

It doesn’t bring up the Game Menu when I press Esc. It doesn’t close windows even though I have the “Disabel Esc Key from Closing Windows” unchecked. It doesn’t even cancel channeling skills.

Somehow relogging repeatedly eventually fixed it, but I occasionally still experience it.

I have also noticed this; it seems to happen a lot when I’m in combat, and I haven’t noticed it while out of combat yet…

I have noticed this bug too.

If you are in the midst of a skill (or F key activation) animation, ESC cancels the animation / action INSTEAD of closing windows or opening the menu. Are you absolutely sure y didn’t accidentally start a skill or activate a nearby object right before you hit ESC?

So it’s not just me.
I kept wondering if there were cookie crumbs or something stuck under the key…

Edit to elaborate: It happens in combat when a skill doesn’t cancel properly, but also in PvE, when the options menu just won’t come of, no matter how often I mash the ESC key.

Seems I am getting this problem and have had it on and off for a few weeks. Restarting the game has not fixed it tonight, might try rebooting to see if maybe some other process is interfering. YES I checked the menu option to see if it was the problem.
It doesn’t close windows, or pull up the game menu, or stop attacks which is dangerous on a ranger!! ;-) Using Windows 7 Ult. and Logitech G19 keyboard. I have NO remapped keys for GW2 and no macro keys set for the keyboard. Any Ideas from game techs?? I will be glad to reply to any official request for any other testing of this issue!
