For some reason, he gets bugged after an instance has been open a while. The melandru chain goes off fine the first time, the second time, and often for days without an issue, and then “something” happens, after which Izzy stalls. (I’m convinced it’s actually any one of several different “somethings” after trying to troubleshoot fixing/preventing it a few years back.)
None of that is very helpful to someone such as yourself who just wants to move forward with a collection. Unfortunately, your options are: slim, slimmer, and none.
- Slim option: wait for a map reset. That usually happens if Orr is a target of a daily (whether vista, miner, forager, although probably not lumberer) or if the week’s map rewards are particularly good.
- Slimmer option: wait for ANet to fix it. On the one hand: I’ve been waiting years. On the other: they have recently prioritized fixing events that are required for collections, so I’m actually hopeful that this will get fixed soon™.
- None option: you could plead on the mercy of the court of appeal, i.e. Support. If they can do something, they probably will — I doubt that they are likely to have anything up their sleeve at this point.
tl;dr
- Wait for a good map instance
- Wait for ANet to fix it (soon, I hope)
- Ask support for help.
