I just finished my 28 day login reward and got the chest, but my [Essence of Gold] item isn’t consumable despite being described as one. I have the option to delete it, but that’s it. Double-clicking doesn’t do anything. I’ve submitted a bug report with a screenshot of it in my inventory, but I believe my right-click menu disappears when I take the picture. I also wasn’t sure if I’d get a response so I decided to look on the forums for this issue, but I couldn’t find it, so here I am. Hope to hear something soon.

I’m pretty sure the 2% gold find boost is automatically added to your account when you open the reward chest (that’s how it is for account bonuses when you get AP cards). If there’s a corresponding item, it’s probably just meant to be deleted.

I wasn’t given any boost. I was previously at 3% Gold Find and am still at 3%. The item itself says consumable as well, but it isn’t.

EDIT: Looking on the wiki as well says that this item is contained in the final chest to grant the permanent increase.

Hm, that is odd then. I’m still 8 days off from my monthly reward, so I obviously haven’t tried it out myself yet.

Are you possibly in PvP? There is a bug where some consumables/bags can’t be used/opened inside PvP.

I couldn’t in PvP mists so I left (initially thinking that might be the problem), but I honestly don’t remember if I tried while I was in Lions Arch. I’m in WvW now crafting and this is where I’ve been trying to use it. I’ll leave WvW and see if that’s the issue, but I can’t think why that would be.. I don’t think I’ve ever had an issue using something in WvW before.

Zaxares I Love you! That was it. I don’t understand why a consumable would be restricted in WvW, but thank god that’s over with. I was furious for about an hour before I gave up and reported this O.o. Thanks for the assistance.
