Guild Wars 2

The skill challenge, Ethereal Vanguard Monument, in Plains of Ashford is bugged. I touch the sword, it glows, but nothing happens.

I’ve come up to it where the skill event pops up on my screen, but there are no ghosts to fight.

I have this problem too

I also have that problem. Sometimes one or even two ghosts are shown as defeated but at least the third one never shows up.

I also encountered this problem today. The sword releases a blue light and smoke but no enemy appears.

Lots on our server (underworld) have this issue. It’s been like this for a few days now and is stopping me from 100% POA. Please fix.

Still bugged at 2/3…

I’ve had this happen as well.

I ask to fight the Ghosties and nothing happens.

I have been able to advance the count by starting the challenge again, but no ghosts actually appear, nor does the Captain it refers to.

I tried several times over a week, then gave up.

The second last time I checked, 5 players, counting me, were standing around scratching their virtual heads and staring at the challenge, wondering why it wasn’t working.

I stopped exploring the map at that point, since I knew this one little thing would prevent me completing the Task, it would be forever stuck at 99%.

Same issue here, me and some others around are not able to finish this, stuck at 2/3 and no Vanguards or Captain Mattox popping up…

I’ve tried it on two different characters, overflow and true server (northern shiverpeaks), and had no luck with the skill challenge. the 99% completion is killing me. They seem to be prioritizing story quests right now, but I hope this makes the list soon.

Looks like I can go back to map exploring now.

And hope I don’t find another one like this!

Yep still bugged on Underworld server. I’ve been stuck on 99% for over a week now please fix.

Still bugged… I’m on realm Darkhaven at Sept 10, 2012 6:20 PM PST. About a dozen players are all here. We click and see the blue flames, the event orange circle shows up, then says that 2/3 ethereal vanguards are already defeated. Nothing else happens. Cannot get the skill point as boss and adds will not spawn.
