Event Bugged - Free the soldiers
Same here tried it yesterday and today 6/7 soldiers and i need the next event for Flameseeker Prophecies III
It’s been wonky for a lot longer than 4 days. The good news is: ANet’s aware of the issue. The bad news is: there’s no estimated date for a fix.

It’s so odd. A couple of days ago, I was in the area doing the Bandit Champ/Executioner, after reading several recent threads about this, so I thought I’d give this event a try. Worked just fine and then I (and a couple of others) went and killed the Spider Queen.
Thus, I might suggest you try guesting whilst waiting for the ‘fix’, as it is not stalled on every server/map.

I tried my two daily guesting passes, and nope.
With the megaserver I noticed that even though I guested, the IP of the map stayed the same.
The even is still bugged at the same place. 6/7 soldiers rescued. and won’t complete.
To note the IP of the map I was on is 64.25.33.70:0
Does anyone know when they reset the maps? Would/does this fix the issue for a bit before it bugs again?

The maps always reset after a patch. (So, every other Tuesday [usually], at least.)
Guesting doesn’t always move you to another map; the MegaServers will still try to put you with your Guildies/friends/party/etc. Also, if there is only 1 or 2 maps open, you will end up in the same one.
