Event Reward Decrease: Bug or intention?
Loot has been nerfed across the board without warning.
This isn’t about loot, it’s about the event rewards.
Some more information: This isn’t a DR thing (or if it is, that’s a bug) since it happened 3 times straight, the last was as same as the first, and it was not only the first time I’d done the event for the day, but it was my first event AT ALL for the day.
According to the table on the talk page of the wiki link above, 62 copper is the reward for a Level 24 event.
I just tested it on another event (collecting apples), a level 4 event. The rewards:
XP: 6,464
K: 131
M: 65c
The XP reward looks to be Level ~60, but the Karma and Gold are ~25.
Still another update:
Took a level 48 alt into the zone and did the same event (it was the first one that popped).
Gold medal reward:
XP: 1275 (~L30 ish?)
Kar: 83 (~L15)
M: 41c (~L15)
So clearly the rewards have changed, and the original question remains: was this an intentional change, or is something bugged?

The poor drop rate of yellow (rare) or above armor and weapons is very frustrating as a player. Also, the drop rate of crafting mats such as bones, bloods, scales, claws, etc., is frustratingly low. Especially as players hope to collect 50-250 globs + [above listed crafting mats] as they progress toward ascended and/or legendary item goals, I find entire nights of playing fractals and dynamic events and I get 0 YELLOWS!?!?
C’mon man! We don’t want everything given to us, but we do want to be able to work toward in game goals in a reasonable time. I play 4 nights a week, 3 hours each night, and at this rate I may finish my ascended back piece by fall of 2013.
C’mon man!!!
Decimus, there are a half dozen other threads about the loot nerf. This is not one of them. Please don’t derail it.
