Right, so.. I was on a full Lion’s Arch map and while walking over to the Trading Post, everyone disappeared. I could see no one – not even NPCs. I had a friend join my party and enter my LA to let me know whether there were actually people in my map or not, and on his screen there are in fact other people on our map. I relogged and this solved the problem. Not even 10 minutes later the same thing happened, but I also died with my party member unable to rez me. In the attached picture you can see what I have on my screen. I can see my party member but no one else.

…why is the map trying to kill me? Was there some kind of apocalypse no one bothered to tell me about? Am I one of the only survivors? Send help.

..but, seriously..

Very similar thing happened to me. Was standing at Hills in our border, when my character suddenly died. It happened three times. My combat log was on, and nothing registered damage. I’ve been on line for about three hours, and this happened between 8pm& 9 pm pacific time.

Yeah, its a strange bug that’s been happening for about a week. Hopefully, the new patch will address it. You can peruse some of the existing threads, if you so desire.

I think saying “good luck” to a person who keeps dying randomly is quite cruel.

That’s obvious, guys, really.

He’s in an alternate dimension that only he can see, devoid of life and just waiting to turn into a living nightmare, and the only fragile thread tethering him to reality is his friend, faithfully trying to bring him back to the other side.
Jeez, get your lore straight.
