Exalted gathering does not work
When mining ore while in Auric Basin, you will gain Auric Slivers in addition to normal materials. You also have a chance to mine special items from ore nodes all around the Heart of Maguuma.
Once you get the slivers, unless you have an active collection that needs something else, I don’t believe anyone has gotten anything else.

Well you continue to get auric slivers …
You seem to be thinking of the sharpening stones.

I think this has 3 effects:
- Lets you acquire Auric Sliver from any ore node in Auric Basin.
- Lets you acquire the Elite Specialization collection items for each profession. e.g. Daredevil’s Auric Sharpening Stone.
- Special items from ore nodes in maguuma
2+3 could be the same? I haven’t noticed any other particularly special materials from nodes in HoT with this mastery.

After unlocking this mastery recently, I got ALL the Specialization Collection Sharpening Stones the first time I mined a node in AB. Yes, I have all the Elite Specs unlocked.
I guess I was at least expecting to be able to get Auric Slivers once in a while, but that does not happen. I only get the slivers from event rewards.
