Every exotic I have recieved from fractals over the last month is accountbound. When I first noticed this at the beginning of February the items did not say they were accountbound but I just could not sell them. After much complaining the items now say accountbound, along with every other exotic Ive picked up from there. I have 9 different gear, weapons, and accessories now in my bank that Im not sure what to do with. It feels almost criminal to throw them away by forging them or salvaging them, but I cant use them on any of my characters. Has anyone else encountered this and knows if its a bug or if its intentional? My husband says hes not experienced this but he hasnt been in fractals as much as I have and Im wondering if hes mistaken. Any advice is appreciated, thank you!

Some were, some weren’t. Armor parts and some tribal weapons were account bound, but I also got some non-account-bound named weapons (Deathwish and Dragonspine).

I’m pretty sure that the account bound exotics in fractals are intentional. If exotics drop from mobs, they seem to be non-account bound. Whereas if you get an exotic from a chest, it’s account bound. This may not be 100% right but if I remember correctly that seems to be how it works. Some named exotics (such as precursors) don’t appear to be account bound.
