Guild Wars 2

Hello,i just started playing GW 2 today and i seem to be experiencing some sort of experience bug.I somehow recieved less experience from events making me stuck at lvl 7 while all the available events requires me to lvl 10-11 or they are too hard for a me.i have asked some people to help me with the quests and stuff…but,i wanted to know if this is a known issue and can it be fixed?

There is a system called Dimishing Rewards that reduces the experience gained by the character be reduced to promote moving around the world as well as a system to combat bots. If your having trouble with gaining experiece you can travel to 4 other starting areas that will have new content for your current level.
