The “Tinkerer” caps at 30 transmuted items. However, there seems to be a hidden “Hobby Tinkerer” title, which is not capped. By repeadedly using HOM rewards to change the skin of an item again and again and again, you can get an infinite amount of achievement points without playing.

Wow. That would be the dumbest exploit ever, since achievement points don’t actually do anything.

I just logged in and saw that i lost 100 achievement points, which is about the amount I got when I checked whether this was a bug.
Does that mean this has been fixed?

I have transmuted hundreds of items – 700+ as i intentionally tried to get Hobby Tinkerer to pop again – but it’s only a one-time hidden achievement.

I regularly reskin my items on alts as they level up, hobby tinkerer is definately recurring. Using the hom rewards was fixed once, it would give you the hobby achieve once per day using them was it.
Didn’t lose any points on patch but I never did the hom reskin spam to get a bunch, some friends who did use it a bit lost a lot of points so guessing it is related.
