As you can see from the screen this is not a beta character (guild icon). I got this ??? item from a reward chest (the ones that pop over the mini-map).

Am I supposed to keep it or it’s a bug so I should delete it?

After playing a bit with my beta character in Verdant Brink, I switched back to my normal characters and received this chest upon logging in, with a ??? item inside.

Happen to me as well, but I also got a chest with mastery point o:

No look! You are in a beta! It says “Mac Beta”

Nah, but seriously it’s happening to me as well. They appear to be Adventure rewards.

The [???]s are from bronze medal rewards and the mastery points are from silver and gold.

I have this too. I believe I have a blue [???] item sitting in my bank.

This has also happend to me, I will try to do some research.

This has happened to a few people, but I have one in my bak too. Not sure if it’s intended or not.

Well I guess it’s not a big deal since that item will be replaced with a functioning one when it’s ready. And it’s probably nothing rare.
I’ve sent a ticket just in case and that’s what I’ve been told:

Of course, submitting the in-game bug report was the first thing I did after receiving the item, just report.

So don’t delete the item.

I should have done the in game report when I got the popup reward but I was pretty tired and achy from a few days of playing So I’ll just note it here.

I cut my final waypoint a little too close (I wanted to put my Reaper in a safe spot so I could play her fast in the next BWE). When I waypointed I got the error message that no beta was active and ended up in character select. I reentered the game on my main, in DR, and he got the popup reward of a blue ??? and a mastery point.

My Reaper had done only one activity thanks to them mostly being inactive, the pit salvage one, and that was hours before beta ended. So I’m not sure where this reward came from; at the end I helped kill a champ troll, glided down to a vine, then tried to wp as described above.

Got one of these too. Don’t know why the chest appeared on regular character and not a beta. Don’t see how this can be classified as an “exploit.”

Read more carefully, we are aware of that. It should not appear on non-beta characters however, that’s the bug we are reporting.

They are from adventures. Most likely because adventures rewards the account with the name that gets on the leaderboard, since our beta accounts are copies of our main accounts, the rewards gets to the wrong account.
