Ever since Living Story Season 1 that I noticed that ingame cinematics have their sound extremely low (if any) in comparison with everything else in normal gameplay. If there is a character speaking, like Dessa in Fractals cinematic, only her voice is audible as in normal gameplay, everything else is almost muted. If the cinematic has no voice acting, there’s almost no sound…

I play with sound sliders all on 20%, so i can hear people over TS/Discord, and still hear everything very well in game, except when a cinematic hits… then I can’t hear anything.

Up until now I just thought that the sound team were not adding sound on these cinematics or having it extremely low intentionally, until today that i’ve watched an ingame cinematic on youtube that made me completely stunned at the amazing sound effects on it.
So I went to the forums where there was some conversations about the Environmental slider controlling the cinematic sounds, and so I went to fractals and tested pulling up Environmental slider to 100% and let master at 20%, but still there was no sound on the cinematic. Then I tried Environmental on 100% and Master on 100% and hit the cinematic and it was beautiful!!! That is until the cinematic ended and it got me back to normal gameplay, everything was so loud that it made my hears hurt… I’ve tested this on 2 different computers, both with speakers and headset on each, all creating the same results.

I’m not sure what to suggest to help the developers, but I think that having a dedicated slider to cinematic to control those effects and making sure that the cinematic sounds come off all sound channels either 2.0/2.1/5.1/7.1 would probably fix it.
