Anyways, as it turns out F2P accounts can make revenant, although only if its your very first character.

What I am most interested in would be how long has this bug gone under the radar and how on earth does something like this slip past QA (also, why is the very first character created special in some way?).
Edit: I guess this gets around the WvW level 60 restriction (or rather lowers it to effectively level 10).

FYI about 2 hours after your original post (and 2 hours before your edit), ANet announced that they had disabled the booster:
