Guild Wars 2

Since some weeks, when I login into game a huge frame drop occurs randomically.
Tipically the system cannot go above 22 fps regardless map/game mode (ie. in Lion’s Arch I should get at least 80 fps)

To restore the normal behavior I have to restart the entire game (more than once if needed).
Change video settings doesn’t work.

Here some spec:
OS: Windows 7 x64
CPU: i7 4790k
Video: Nvidia GTX 970 with latest nvidia driver dic-15 (same behavior with sept-15 driver)
RAM: 16 GB

Have any of you experienced the same issue?

It sounds like it may be an overheating issue since from what I understand, it’ll start the game fine, but drop in frames over time. Check your CPU thermal paste, and make sure all the fans are blowing air fine and aren’t clogged.

Temperatures are ok.
The frames drop occurs just the map is loaded the first time.

Unfortunately this behavior is randomic and I can’t provide more information.
I’m pretty sure that is somethings related to the game because since September I never experienced this issue and the configuration (hw & sw) of my pc isn’t changed.

I have the same problems.
Significant frames drop when the game starts and in other random moments (under 20fps).
the temperature of CPU and GPU in fine and before Xmas I was normally doing avaerage 50-60 fps with no problems at all.
