Falling Damage Mis-Calculation
I finally managed to die for falling damage in Timberline Falls when running down a small hill that was maybe 3-4 meters high.
I already started to do just 2-3 steps and stop then whenever i run down there now.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
it also finally happened to me (also in Timberline falls!) after coping with this bug for Months! :/
It also happens here in Dredgehaunt Cliffs sometimes, and thats really not that steep here that we should get falling damage when running down.

I frequently incur falling damage while running on slight slopes. I have to stop moving in order to stop the damage from ticking.
Happens far too often for comfort. I think my record was deadly fall damage from a slope that was not even as high as my charr, although usually I die from slopes that at least look somewhat painful if I slipped on them in real life.
Falling damage is my #1 irritant so far in this game. I was trying to get a character to level 80 without any deaths, and despite surviving dozens of Boss Blitz battles (with doing actual fighting, not just tagging and hiding in the middle), I died simply walking out of town to gather some mats to finish a daily.
I just don’t understand why a character should ever be killed from falling, unless you fall into a spot you can’t walk out of. Even more aggravating when you are simply walking downhill and not falling per se. Just leave the character downed and not dead.
There is an issue with slopes. I wonder if it’s all connected with the same problems we have with blink/shadowstep, bull’s charge, etc, pathing with lag detection (What I mean is, server thinks you lagged, puts you where it thinks you should be, but because it moved you quite a bit, it counts as ‘falling’ and quickly adds up to you taking fall damage just walking, similar to how you shadowstep, but server thinks you lagged and puts you right back where you were) If you suspect you may take falling damage, hop down the stairs/slope… Seriously, it works, you take less damage overall, and it can avoid damage altogether.
During heavy lag my character fell from a small cliff (apparently the falling damage number didn’t show up) then walked for a few seconds; and after the lag was gone, so was my character lying dead immediately on the ground. I’d give the credit to the falling damage bug.

Warrior running down a minor slope (that looks almost flat) with Rush and dies from falling damage. How funny is that…
This bug still lives very happily well in GW2…
