I’ve never used any other visual backpiece so I don’t know if this is unique to the cencer, but when my elementalist uses ride the lightning about 20% of the time on completion of the move the backpiece visually disappears. I have to uncheck and recheck its visibility box on the hero screen to get it to show up again.

Ah, so this is why RTL got nerfed

I`ve two visual back pieces & they`ve never vanished when I`ve used RTL, so it`s probably just the new item bugging.
