Hi I crafted the last two feasts for the Fine Dining achievement and much to my dismay I already had learned “Feast of Truffle Steak Dinner” a while ago I had just forgot. Anyways since I can’t consume the recipe again I can’t get credit for the achievement?

I have included two screenshots.

1. The incomplete “Fine Dining” achievement and 1 Recipe: Feast of Truffle Steak Dinner in my inventory with the “you already know this recipe!”

2. The Cooking Panel with “Feast of Truffle Steak Dinner” showing that I previously had crafted and consumed it.

Try making the item itself and consuming it… that might be what you need to do.

This happen to me today.

I didn’t have to craft the item for “Recipe: Feast of Spicy Lime Steaks” I just had to consume the recipe. Has the OP found a solution to this?

Consuming the Feast of Truffle Steak Dinner Recipe is NOT the same as eating a Plate of Truffle Steak (which is what you eat for the achievement, not the Feast or Dinner).

If you’re stuck, you could just do Chef on an alt, and then re-learn the recipe.. It’s cheap and pretty fast. Hopefully someone comes up with a solution that doesn’t require that, though.

That would be the simplest solution that doesn’t have to wait for a fix from ANet.

What should happen is that the game should check through all your characters’ recipe list and see if any of the required recipes are unlocked. It did that for the Treasure Hunter achievement.

I was afraid of that ;/ The previous unlock ought to count IMO.

2/17/2015. I just crafted the Feast of Truffle Steak Dinner Recipie in the Mystic Forge, I consumed it, it then gave me the alert that I have learned the recipie and shows up on my crafting panel. However, the recipie failed to unlock in the Fine Dining Collection.

(I had no issues with the Spicy Lime Recipie.)

Is this Feast of Truffle Steak Recipie for the collection still bugged? Do I have to go about it a specific way? Should I just not waste my time…hopefully..maybe someday it gets fixed.

Just to drop my .02 here. I also just encountered this problem. I made the recipe for Feast of Truffle Steak Dinner and consumed it, but it did not unlock in the achievement panel.

Thinking it was me clicking too fast, I made another one and it wouldn’t let me consume it since I already knew the recipe. At least I threw it on the TP for a decent amount of gold. Hopefully Anet can find a way to address this issue?

At the risk of being infracted again…

This is a well known issue. Have a look at the About collections… thread. You will see that it and other collections are bugged and have been bugged since their introduction, with no fix in sight.

From personal experience, support cannot (as in not having the tools or ability to) help in this specific regard at this time. You are welcome to lodge a ticket but are probably wasting the time of all parties concerned.

If the above was again too inflammatory in the esteemed regard of our dear invisible forum moderators, I don’t know what more to say. This is bugged and support cannot help. Those are the facts.
