"Fireball" animation way too small
Skill two on my flamethrower kit feels less impactful since HoT too! When I read that they where toning down some of the animations in game I was extremely disappointed as I feel the effects in this game set it apart from other online games on the market and if I’m honest its the reason I was drawn to guild wars 2 in the first place.
That’s the thing. This HAS to be a mistake. It doesn’t just feel less impactful. It is laughably smaller. Picture the difference between the normal heads and the bobble heads.
I would be far more understanding if this were a bug, rather than an intended choice. The current effect is actually very, very sad. It is more underwhelming than “flare” from GW1. You can see my posts on the other forums, and I stand by them that I love ANET’s work by-and-large. However, this is either a mistake, or very poorly implemented as I cannot possible justify the magnitude of the change that occurred.
I can understand some visual adjustments, but the current state of the skill is embarrassing.
Just going to add I also think Fireball graphic is too small. I didn’t read the patch notes before logging in tonight, I thought my graphics were accidentally turned down. Looks more like a fire pebble now.
This isn’t a bug, but it needs to be reverted with the next hotfix. Fireball was never a serious issue in regards to visual clutter and now it looks very out of place when compared to the rest of the staff skills. Every time I throw one of these fire bullets, or whatever they are, a part of me dies.
