Fix the new auto-attack animations, please!
Another powerful argument, that it will be possible to change the staff stance to it’s original one, while maintaining the attack animations.
The Princess Doll uses the staff’s stance for her Princess Wand, but performs the Necromancer’s scepter attack. Necromancers on the other hand, use their one-handed weapon stance to perform the attack (-> here & here). They both harmonise and do not bug out, like the Revenant’s staff animations.
As said before: It would have been a nice idea to use the hammer stance on staves, if Revenants would not have any access to it. But they can use a hammer already. So, please, give Revenants the opportunity to gain access to the staff’s running and — more important — to the staff’s idle animations.

Since you changed or will change some attacks of the Revenant, please remember to fix the animations. While the staff-hammer-stance may still be debatable (I still think, it should become the staff stance.), the sword auto attack chain and the mace AA really need to be fixed/replaced with the suggested ones.
The Reaper’s greatsword:
The auto-attack is very slow. First two movements are the normal greatswords moves and the last one resembles Ranger’s Maul
I noticed last night that marjory has a very fluid looking greatsword skill chain which doesn’t appear to mimic any other animation. Why was this not used, at least for the other races on that wireframe?
Well, the auto-attacks, especially the revenant’s sword attack, still do look like kitten.
Wtf, ANet? Why is the druid holding his staff like a hammer, too?
He only uses staff animations and the auto-attack was taken from the elementalist’s Lightning Surge. There is not even a single animation, which was taken from the hammer, so there is no need, that the staff should not been hold like a staff.
But now you convinced me. Ever weapon should be wield like in the core game. Every staff has to be hold like a staff, no matter what the attack animations may look like.
I will write a report every day, till this kitten has finally been fixed.
