Flurry on Asura Warrior bugged.
I can confirm that this is occurring on female Asurans. Has anyone else seem this bug?
Just wanted to mention that this bug is still present in the most recent patch, Flame & Frost.
I enjoy using the 1h sword on my Asura warrior and would like to be able to do so without being at a disadvantage.
This bug’s still here! (Female asuran warrior)
I thought I was doing something wrong, or maybe it was positioning, until I made a charr warrior to grind out the 3 personal story achievements for the recent achievement rewards, which had no Flurry issues whatsoever.
Generally it hits 3 times, misses 4, then hits once more, though occasionally it will hit 4 times in a row then miss the rest. Positioning hardly seems to matter. Even trying to stand practically inside the enemy doesn’t seem to help.
Hopefully this can be looked into!
(For the record, I used the search box to find a more recent thread on the subject, and it came up with 0 results for ‘asura flurry’. Found this thread on Google. Honestly, I think the search box might be broken too. :/ )
bump
this bug is still very much present. i hit 4 times and then land one last hit on my male asura warrior. the bleeds tick fine, but the direct damage only lands the first 4 hits and the last one.
if requested, i can provide video footage.
bumping this again. this issue has been around for almost a year, and denies my character one of my favorite weapon sets simply because of the race of choice. i’m more than willing to help with footage and evidence as needed, but i want to see this fixed.
Same issue here… One year… Needs a fix… Before next year…
UPDATE:
i tested it on heart of the mists with a steady sword and no traits whatsoever. looking at the combat log, all hits DO connect (meaning the attack damage is unaffected by the race), but the game only displays the first 4 hits and the very last one, giving it the impression that it’s missing everything in between.
This seems to still be bugged. Looked at the combat log and only 6 hits are registering compared to the 8 in the skill description. Can anyone else with with a female asuran warrior confirm?

How are you testing? I have a female asura warrior that I can test with.
Founding member of [NERF] Fort Engineer and driver for [TLC] The Legion of Charrs
RIP [SIC] Strident Iconoclast
Just against mobs. I look at the combat chat window and count the number of hits from Flurry.
Just tried it in Heart of the Mists, on the training golems there. 6 hits. Not 8.
Seems this has been bugged for two years now, since the last post? A dev could test this in 5 seconds and find the same result.
Asuran female warrior. Maybe it doesn’t happen on a male character?

Can confirm it is bugged on male Asura aswell, however the bleeding applied is correct but the number of attacks done is 4 when having one adrenaline bar and up to 6 when you have full adrenaline, please note that the normal behaviour is 8 attacks with one adrenaline bar and 10 with two bars and 11 with 3 bars, hopefully this will help anet more if they ever decide to look into the issue…
It does work as intended with my charr warrior
Does this bug occur in PVP too? If it does, mention so and alarm bells at ANet will ring.

OK So it has to be bugged then and I don’t need to count how many hits because I just have to read the tooltip as adrenaline builds. At level 3 my tooltip says only damage 10x, not 12x like the wiki:
More hits at higher adrenaline levels. 32 damage and 1 stack of bleeding per hit.
Level 1: 8 hits
Level 2: 10 hits
Level 3: 12 hits

This was tested in the Heart of the Mists, at the pvp training area against the target golems. I first noticed this in open world PvE though.
6 hits. And that was with a full 3 bars of adrenaline. Five hits with 2 bars, four hits with 1 bar.
Surprised no one else mentioned this bug again since the post I replied to above, about a year ago. It seemed so obvious to me just watching the skill when I made my warrior recently.

If you have the combat log opened while using the skill you’ll notice that the damage stops at around halfway through the attack’s progress bar.
On a human the 3 bars Flurry is missing 1 hit as well.
Also missing 1 hit at 3 bars on a charr.

After noticing this on my male asuran warrior, I decided to run a few tests as well (details below). Here is what I’ve found:
Flurry does work fine, all hits do connect and deal damage as they should BUT the combat log and the damage floaters both do not display all hits. Instead they’ll only show the first 3/4/5 (adren dependant) and the last hit.
Some details to the tests I ran (small wall of text inc):
First off I started with hitting target golems in the Heart of the Mists just as everybody before me did already…get into combat, wait for desired amount of adren (signet of rage), flurry and observe.
Results here: 4 displayed hits with one bar, 5 with 2 bars, 6 with 3 bars, but correct amount of bleeds on the target
Next up I compared to a flurry from my norn warrior (both with base presicion, no traits, no procs) and while the game displayed different amounts of hits, both warriors caused similar amounts of damage.
Results here: despite the displayed values flurry seems to work fine, but…
Since about 75-80% of the damage of flurry is bleeding and some missed direct hits wouldn’t change the overall damage too much, a third test was required…one that would allow me to reliably count hits without using the combat log.
Therefore, I went to swampland fractal, scale 43, and repeated my golem test there using fireflies. The instability of scale 43 – a stacking damage of 0,1% maxhp per hit (first hit 0,1%, second hit 0,2% and so on) – allowed me to easily find the true amount of hits flurry produced: 8 with one bar, 10 with 2 bars and 11 with 3 bars, just like the tooltip of the skill states.
Results now: flurry does indeed produce the correct amount of hits (based on tooltip values), but combat log and floaters do not show all of them
To doublecheck on this last result I asked one of my guildmates to serve as a living dummy for me and report the damage flurry caused. While we only ran this once for 3 bars flurry, we were able to confirm both parts of the last observation:
1. flurry works perfectly fine
2. combat log and damage floaters miss the intermediate hits and show only the first few and the last hit for both the asura using flurry and his/her target
Good to know! Thanks for looking into in such depth. Just a display/readout bug then.
