Guild Wars 2

So I bough flute from gem store and ran into a weird sound problem.
At first it seemed I cannot hear myself playing although it turned out it’s just extremely quiet.
Only when I turn music and environment volume off and put effects volume to 100% I can hear it normally, but then all other sounds are extremely loud, so let’s say that the balance between flute and other sounds isn’t good.

Now the weird part is that I hear it normally whenever someone else is playing it.

Well, any ideas how to fix this ?
