I am stuck int he Southwest Silverwastes for hours now have done that same quest: Defend Amber Sandfall and Protect Lightbringer Osa from Mordren about ten or more times , i.e. been at it for HOURS and am getting quite frustrated. I simply cannot advance. The Gate has a big stopsign on it and does not let me through.

Three of my other chars have done same quest without problem. Also, since I already have 2 Masterpoints and Glideskill from previous chars, it is strange that it tells me to “return to the jungle to earn masteries end train for gliding skill” .

If it is telling to get gliding that sounds like it is already several steps into the story. A screenshot might be helpful …

You can always try a -repair of the client, in case of corrupted file(s). Instructions found via the ‘Support’ link above/below and ‘Search – Repair’.

Other suggestions: Use a ‘Waypoint to a Friend’ consumable. Enter through a Guild Hall.

Usually, you can just run to the end past Amber and start the next part of the story.

Make sure you have interacted with Tactician Elke, Braham and Rox, Marjory and Kasmeer, Taimi and Canach. In that order.
Then go up the stairs and the cutscene will trigger, prompting you to finish the instance and go through the portal to “Torn from the Sky”.

You don’t have to do any of the events in the Prologue: Rally to Maguuma, aslong as you get these dialogues in.

I’m having the same issue. I went through with a friend (second characters for both of us). My journal shows it completed, but when we finished the first quest in Maguuma, I wound up back in the tutorial. I can’t exit, can’t tp. My journal doesn’t show that I’m on the quest, but I’m stuck there.

Friend of mine had the same problem and I fixed it, if you have a shared inventory slot put any of the LS3 map scrolls/the book in that slot and use it to get out of that instance.

That worked! Good thing I had one of those lounge scrolls Thank you very much!
