First phase of the personal story Forging the pact The guard wont release the gate to let me get into the asura gate to meet Trav. to continue the quest line. i have been told this isn’t anything new however I am at a loss as to any solution

Have you tried waypointing to Concordia, or walking there? It is in Timberline Falls.

If you are referencing the Asura Gate at Vigil Keep, that takes you to Fort Trinity, and is only accessible after the Battle for Fort Trinity, I believe.
