many common search terms yield 0 results. For example, searching the Guardian forums, for “Guardian” yields 0 results. I would have searched the forums, but i can’t.

The search has always been wonky and… for various reasons, it’s not going to get changed

I just use google, since it’s faster and more effective than almost any forum search tool on any site I’ve ever used.

for example:

site:forum-en.guildwars2.com guardian build

that will show you posts in any of the forums that have something to say about guardian builds.

if you just want a particular sub-forum, you can refine the search further by adding e.g.

inurl:guardian

(other search engines use identical or very similar terms and many can handle the google jargon)

Pretty sad that they never even bothered to repair this but then again most of the devs only post on reddit anyway so yeah…

They did repair the forum search, more than once, but as it kept breaking, and the 3rd party that created it no longer supports it, it is just left as-is.

Google works just fine, if not better.
