This has happened to me about three times now…I try to reply to a post and once I hit “post” I get an error message telling that this area isn’t available yet or something to that effect…

Is this on my side or is there an issue with the forums right now?

Though, as to your question, I’ve not experienced that error specifically, though I have gotten a red banner stating that I “do not have the necessary permissions to access this page” sometimes just while browsing through threads that we all have permissions to access….like bugs threads. The forums are buggy most of the time anyway, and many things have broke and have not been fixed yet, like “Search”, sadly. I’d say give it a few minutes and it should fix.

I’ve gotten that error a number of times. Every time it was because the authentication has expired.

What probably happened is this. While you are in the middle of writing your post your login session to the forum expires. When you click “Post Reply” you are essentially trying post on the forum as someone who isn’t logged in. Posting an an anonymous user isn’t allowed so you get an error.
