So after the Fractured patch I am unable to fully upgrade my ‘Beta Fractal Capacitor (Infused)’. Upon trying to select it to put in the Mystic Forge I realize it’s not there and I can’t do such a thing.

I have bought a Gift of Ascension, acquired 250 Globs of Ectoplasm and obtained a Shard but I still can not for some reason add my current Beta Fractal Capacitor to the Mystic Forge to complete the recipe. Is this possibly because of the change to agony and how it now has it’s own spot? Whatever the reason I’m a little confused.

I have the same problem.
I rounded up the required materials and ran to the forge all excited, only to be met with confusion…
Tried relogging, rebooting etc; the Beta Fractal Capacitor (Infused) simply won’t show up in the forge

I’ve reported the bug in game with a screenshot, should this be posted in the ‘Fractured’ section as well?

Would really love a fix for this. Finished the mats for final fractal back the day fractured launched. Kind of a slap in the face

In a game where all end game content is cosmetic you can’t mess up a cosmetic recipe…

that is almost like saying all legendaries now look like pearl weapons…

I know that analogy is extreme… But it is kind of the truth.

Alright Anet, very funny. Just spent all night till 2:00AM getting my last gift of ascension and I cannot even see my current beta capacitor in the mystic forge crafting window. I’ve got nothing but love for you guys, but I beg of you, please look into fixing this as soon as possible.

A problem here as well. Don’t tell me you really expected us to not use our backpiece at all while grinding out the rest of the tokens for the gifts? Make a way for beta to be shown in MF even if soulbound, not funny.

This is a new bug. I made the final ascended back piece on my mesmer even while the beta was still being used. Soulbound items can still show up in the mystic forge. It is like when people get the precursor for their legendary. They are still going to use the precursor if they are getting other things for the legendary. This is something new that needs fixed.

I am experiencing the same problem.. Anet please fix it! It’s wasting my effort to collect all the mats

This is a serious bug, and it’s been a week.
I’d appreciate it if they’re just let us know they’re aware of the issue and fixing it.

i hope the team learns from this. changing item IDs = affecting recipes and the mystic toilet.. er.. forge.. shouldn’t be forgotten. i have all the mats taking up space in my bags for a few characters and i can’t upgrade back pieces

Can we know when will this be patched? I know a lot of ppl like me who spent money on mats and waiting on this…

Sure wish I had known about this before I spent money on ectos. How about a little less of this moronic living story garbage with Scarlet every two weeks and dedicate some programmers to FIXING BUGS. I’m getting tired of a patch that breaks stuff and two weeks spent fixing it only to have the next patch break new stuff….

i posted this bug on the german forums as well, at least on the english forum we got a response. anyhow, this bug got in with the fractal patch, since then nothing has changed.
sadly i got all the mats together on the day this, sorry for language, kitten patch with all its bugs hit. its like one and a half week now of waiting and hoping everyday when i log in that i see a “downloading bar” in the GW2 client. still nothing. :´(
i hope this bug doesnt end like some others where the community is waiting for over a year now for a fix. >.<

Natronix, clearly you’ve not worked in a software company before.

I’ll be mildly impressed if its in the next update (that would push it out ahead of the standard patch/release cycle), but I won’t hold my breath.

This bug is one they cannot ignore, so I expect that it will be fixed, and fast. But only fast from the perspective of a software fix.

The issue is most likely related to the Beta Capacitor itself. With the changes to infused items it likely resulted in a change to the item’s coding which now prevents the forge from accepting it as a component. Someone just needs to look at the changes related to that item that occurred between last patch and this one and fix it. I would be severely disappointed if this fix was delayed beyond Dec 10th but when it comes to bug fixes, I never hold my breath.

I can confirm that you can now upgrade the fractal capacitor again as I made mine just now. However, it does not have it’s inherent +5 agony resistance anymore. They seem to have fixed one bug and created another.

The capacitor shows that it has 2 infusion slots, but when I go to add a second infusion I do not get the option to fill the second slot like I do with 2 handed ascended weapons. Instead when I try to fill the second slot a message asks me if I want to replace the infusion on the first slot. So I am stuck with 5 less agony resistance than I had before I upgraded.

Don’t quite know the process but you can apparently combine/refine the agony resists to create an agony resist infusion greater than +5 (If I recall the patch notes correctly).

Anyone can give me recipe for upgrade that?

I just upgraded from the Beta to the Final Fractal Capacitor and I lost my +5 infusion. I had already spend 500 fractal relics and 250 ectos to make it INFUSED. The final upgrade was stated as cosmetic only. Pls fix asap or send me a refund of approx. 100 gold for a wasted upgrade.

So it seems that the only type of infusion you can put in the second infusion slot on a fully upgraded Fractal Capacitor are the new infusions that drop from chests in FoTM, and the ones with greater agony resist that can be crafted from those. I did not understand this when I made my last post on this thread. It still does not make any sense though that I cannot fill the second infusion slot with a versatile simple infusion which only costs 75 fractal relics and which has been my source of agony resistance since the release of FoTM. Instead I seem to be expected to fill that slot with the new type of agony infusion which can be very expensive.

so apparently this is broken again, just tried to do it.
