Sometimes the cages at the Cliffside final boss fight are unbreakable. If it happens, it happens to every cage. Today I was in a group that dissolved because of it. Since the boss puts people in cages frequently while at low health, it’s likely that your entire party could get stuck, and in that case your fractal run is completely borked.

I found it immensely frustrating when it happened to my party. What’s the status on this bug, Anet? Do you all know about it? Are you working on it?

I never saw totally unbreakable cages there. Bugged, yes, but not unbreakable. I could always manage to get out by using AOEs but could never target the cages.

If they are unbreakable now, that must have been introduced with one of the last patches. I have to admit that I didn’t make fractal runs in the last few weeks, so that is a possible reason why I never experienced the bug you described.

oop, forgot to check on this thread. yeah, through forum searching i’ve found posts about this issue going back by like 3 or 4 months, so it’s been around a while. it doesn’t happen in every instance of Cliffside, and to date it’s only happened to me that one time. i don’t know what causes it. i sure hope Anet might!

if memory serves me, whenever i moused over the bugged cages, the cursor had that gear/cog graphic, like when you mouseover a siege weapon. & that doesn’t happen when they’re normal.
