Some people got it free, and some not. I have 2 account so i can confirm it. My newer account got is, but my older not. The newer account was bought 1-2 months ago, normal version, it got the free golem banker. My older account is pre-purchable normal version, and there is no 0 gem golem banker deal for it.

i have a theory about the golem, that if you already obtained one at any point in the account’s existance, you don’t get a free one. on the older account did you ever get a banker golem? i also currently have this possible issue, but i know for a fact i have obtained the golem before (digital deluxe thingy, so every toon gets one). entirely possible this could be what causes it

Nope, the golem isn’t free for me either and I have never had one before, so that’s not the case.

I dont have digital deluxe version. Unless golem was free befor (i dont remember if it ever was) i should never have it. But many of my guild mates have this problem too. They have simple and deluxe edition too.

I am having the same problem here, and Im sitting next to someone who is also receiving the free banker golem. I never bought one before. I think it’s a bug or something. But I would still love to get the golem!

I got one free, and I have the deluxe upgrade, so have been getting them free with every new character o.o

I got one free on my new account & the offer wasnt there on my original account. I kind of remember them having a deal like this in the past & like above poster said, if you got one last time, maybe we dont get one this round.

Same problem for me. No free golem. Already had one with Collector’s edition.

I got the free dye pack, wxp booster and box of fun, but golem I can only get for 500 gems.

Previously, “lucky accounts” were only for loots and mystic forge outputs, now it is also for gem shop promotions. At least it is fully coherent.

Hmm..just logged in…nothing there for me. Guildie says he didn’t get the free Dye kit from the day before, either.

I have to join this thread, I only have the golem listed for 500 gems, I don’t have it as an option in promotions, I have been able to get all the other giveaway options from black lion. ie I got the dye pack.

I have tried with both an alt and my main character to see if that made a difference, but that doesn’t make any changes.

other general info that could be useful .. I have a normal account not deluxe and as far as I know I have never had a golem banker.

Today when I logged in, friend said that there’s free Banker Golem in Gem Store. So I went to check it and it’s 500 gems for me. gg

No free golem for me either, and I know for a fact I’ve never bought one.

Nope nowt free for me either its a hoax or an extremely poor marketing ploy to try and entice others to click and buy without noticing it isn’t free.

My hope is it’s a bug, but it is one that has entered into the TP food chain.. .. whatever next for the TP, do we start getting all those historical bugs cascading back into the TP each update like in game :-D

I can not get a free golem either.

I own the Digital Deluxe Edition. Apart from the golem which comes with my game, I never bought a golem or got one for free.

I received the golem on this account with no gems, but was unable to get one on my main account which has gems.

Never had a golem on any account before.

I don’t think it is anything to do with having gems because my husband and I each have no gems and neither of us can get the free golem.

Check if you can get it now, I could finally get it

Definitely fixed for both digital deluxe and standard versions.

I did get the free golem banker from the gem shop but as soon as I claimed it from the mail it activated it’s 2 week timer. I thought it wasn’t suppose to activate until you used it the first time. The banker I got for each of my characters from the digital deluxe upgrade in the gem shop a while back didn’t activate until I used it the first time.

This is odd, but I received the free Golem Banker from the Black Lion offer earlier in the day and just now I went into the store and I was able to receive a second free Golem Banker from apparently the same offer.

Has this happened to anyone else? The golem was sent to me in the mail, but I haven’t taken it out yet. Seems like they may have just sent out a second round of free bankers to everyone.

No free golem for me, but I’m not bothered. I just travel to WvW to access my Bank anyway.

I was able to ‘purchase’ mine (for 0 Gems) now, as well. Thank you for the fix. =)
