I just discovered this by accident. I was clearing a Zone and once complete I clicked the chest, all 4 items popped up in my Overflow Tab. I had 1 locked black Lions chest already in my inventory and got a Key in my 100% stuff. So I Double clicked the Lions Chest and it disappeared along with the key. It left an Empty Space where the chest once was and didn’t place an Unlocked Chest anywhere in my Inventory or Mailbox. I’m sure you can recreate this bug if you try, just wanted to point it out.
