Guild Wars 2

Hello guys,

I recently bought a new computer and just transferred the GW2 program folder to the new one. I can run the game fine but I notice that it keeps downloading data (around 10,000KB according to the downloader) even before I can login to the game.

Did something break or do I need to start a new installation to perhaps install registry entries or something?

Make sure the Gw2.dat file is writable on the new system. The launcher displays the number of files it will download not the amount.

Found that the files were read only when I copied them. Removed read-only but I still experience the problem.

I’ll rename the DAT file and try re-installing, then copy the DAT file again.

Looks like re-installing then replacing the DAT file fixed the issue.
