GW2 minimizes on misclicks to secondary monitors

I assume you’ve tried enabling fullscreen windowed mode in Guild Wars 2.
I found a wikipage that might be able to help you:

@Dez
I have tried enabling fullscreen windowed mode actually. It does prevent the minimizing part, but the real problem is that my mouse cursor would mysteriously find itself on the secondary monitor regardless of whether that option is enabled or not. And of course, if I click outside of the game, that means the program on the secondary window becomes in focus and I would no longer be able to control my character in game until I clicked back on the GW2 screen. I do find it rather strange.

If that is so much of a bother to you I suggest disabling your second screen temporarily, It’s what I usually do why I’m playing resource intensive games.
Just press Windows + P to quickly change it around.
@Izithel
I suppose I could do that, but then if I want to browse around the GW2 wiki for certain things, that means I would have to actually minimize the game to do the browsing, and then maximize the game to play again. It’s cumbersome and doesn’t fully utilize the capabilities of my computing space. With supplementary resources loaded on the second monitor, I could look at that AND play at the same time!

Hey Ari,
I have the same problem. It happens most often to me, when I keep the right mouse button clicked to change the camera perspective. This is most annoying during a fight, and I sometimes die because of this. GW2 is the only game where this happens and I sent an in-game ticket to GW2 during Beta. Unfortunately, I have not found a solution yet and your post is the first I have heard about this problem plaguing somebody else. This gives me reason to believe that this is not a result of some weird configuration of my display options that I am unaware of, but could be something of a more general problem. Since it happens only with GW2, I believe it has to do something with the how the client runs and is currently outside of my control. If I find a solution or hear something. I will repost here.
lynn I actually have had this issue since day 1 of pre-release (but surprisingly never in the BWEs).
I reported it and others are having the same issue.. no resolution yet unfortunately.

To reproduce the issue, right-click on some UI element and drag. The game prepares for mouselook by removing the low-level edge constraints (else you’d get stopped from 360 degree turning), but then fails to actually switch from pointer to mouselook and instead the pointer can slide off into the other screen.
I have a bigger issue, which is that while I play the game on my primary monitor, the client will randomly on startup instead move to my secondary monitor, disabling my primary and bringing the desktop with it—and then fail to actually start, locking up everything but ctrl+alt+del and manual process kill. As of today’s update, it happens /every/ time and I can no longer play the game at all.
