I tried to download the new update but it keeps getting stuck at “Initializing” and is doing that whenever I restart the client.

Same problem here..
Edit:
I’m trying the -repair command line. I’ll inform you, if it works.
Edit²: Nope, not working. It’s repairing but still the same error.

I only use -maploadinfo as default.
PS: The client can’t be closed by normal actions. I have to kill the task.

Pretty mess. I loved GEMFX…
