I login after having downloaded the new patch 2013-01-28 at approximately 22:00 GMT.

I complete the 2 last hearts on a map with one of my characters, and get disconnected (Bla bla … disconnected … please try again in a few minutes).

When I reconenct, the 2 hearts are not completed!?!?!?

I now got disconnected again (upon completing the map) when I tried to waypoint to Lions Arch. It will be interesting to see if the map is … still completed.

I keep getting disconnected, every 10 minutes after the new patch.

Same happens here. I log in, do some progress, then after 5-10 minutes I get disconnected and my character gets reverted.

Everything is reverted to what the status was prior to the patch. Map position, inventory, discovered waypoints/PoI, even traits, if I change them.

Same here. After patch I get disconnections every 1-5 minutes.

I’m having same problem. I think longest I’ve made it is 10 minutes. Sometimes I lot in and get disconnected in less than 1 minute. I’d say it averages around 6 or 7 minutes I get disconnected. Never had this problem until today’s patch.

Same here, everything is 100% the same.

Same. A friend and I have been DCed about 7 times in a row. Each time we are able to play a few minutes and then get kicked. When we get back all progress during our pay time is gone. Started after the patch.

Same problem. I manage to stay connected for 30-60seconds then disconnect. All progress is reverted to pre-patch on reconnect.

Same thing here. Really only posting to keep this problem up at the top of the list.

Same issue, I’m lucky to stay connected for more than a minute.

Have this on my warrior, but not on my necro, pretty weird.
I tried 3 times to travel from LA to Straits of Dev on my warrior. 3 times same result: Got there, walked around a bit, then disconnected. On reconnect, I was back in LA but had in fact payed the waypoint fee (7.5 silver isn’t a big deal but its the thought that counts).

Having problems as well, got disconnected shortly after downloading the new patch and now I can’t log on my main who seems to be level 61 instead of 60 she should be.

I also have this problem on the Dragon Brand Lornar’s Pass area. Any daily progress I make gets rolled-back.

This is happening to me as well, on the Ehmry Bay server. It’s happened several times to my mesmer in Bloodtide Coast and once to my engineer in Brisban Wildlands.

With every new path comes new bugs.
Now, this is probably more a problem of bandwidth than a bug (everyone downloading the patch) so calm down and wait.
And if in few hours this is not solved then you can freak out

It’s resetting events in orr as well can’t do the temples. Just wanted to help to show span of problem.

I disconnected and lost my quaggon backpack! All my gold is still gone and back equip just returned to normal.

The ‘’roll-back’’ problem isn’t fun at all. Same for me. Lost a good progression. Hope it’ll get fixed soon(or the bandwidth freed a little).

the funny thing is it only started happening after about an hour of the patch. i updated and logged in shortly after 2100 UTC and things were going fine till around 2230. i’d just finished my daily (kittening combo finish achievement) in gendarran fields and walked back to LA. i must have disconnected 3 or 4 times just trying to get into LA. when i finally got in, i managed to make it to the bank before i disconnected again. then i gave up.

these technical problems are starting to get to me. they waste time and effort trying to get around them, and they happen every time (in different forms) there is new content for the game (with the exception of wintersday). i’m seriously doubting the testers Anet uses. so public test server maybe?

with the rollbacks ect I lost 3 skill points and few hearts, think I will leave this till to-morrow so that they can ratify the problems.

The exact same is happening to both my account and my friends, keep logging on, and getting DCed. Hopefully the problem gets fixed soon, all our progress after the patch keeps resetting.

Im getting disconnected every 1-2 min and the first time I lost like 30 min of game time. It never saved..

Same here, Anet already owes me 7 silvers worth of teleports and the daily.

PS: GREAT the daily reset and I got no rewards because of this stupid bug.

Same for me, only when I dc, the game completely crashes. When i try and get back in, it’s still somehow still registering the client that completely crashed and closed out. This forces me to have to RESTART MY COMPUTER. I’ve had to do this 4 times now. This is ridiculous!

after seeing Doctor Orderly MD PhD DDS’s post about it only happening on certain toons for him/her I have tried all my toons and found out that this doesn’t seem to happen on my mesmer. Was logged in for 25+ minutes with no issue. Went back to another toon and got disconnected right way.

I have been getting constant disconnects since the patch as well. Like every 5 minutes or so.

Same here. Daily went from 60% to 20%.
No point playing until fixed if I keep losing progress.

I get disconnected every time I press collect on my mail after the update tell me if something is wrong with this picture…

giving up for today, lost out of the daily and monthly because of resets, and now i cant complete the current daily either because of dc’s and resets. please fix this anet

Is no one testing the changes at the studio? Annoying as hell.

I’m lucky if I get even a minute. I’m trying to finish my final heart of the map and I get kicked every ten seconds :/

same here .. cant stay logged in for more than 2min.. we didnt have any issue until trying to zone into a new area and since then can not stay on for any length of time..

I wrote every ten minutes. I have to correct myself: it’s now less than three minutes.
Zones: Wayfarer, Hoelbrak, LA, Queensdale.

I disconnected many times too and lost progress too ( charr starter zone)

I just tried guesting with a friend in Blazeridge steppes, and ran into the same problem. Went from Tarnished Coast to Northern Shiverpeaks. He had not been experiencing a problem, but as soon as I logged into his server and joined his party, we both started being kicked regularly. Each time our progress would be reset to where it was at when I joined the map on his server.

Well I dont get more than 30 seconds now… Before I roll back its weird it just started happening to me after i gained level 23… i was at level 21 got 22 and then 23 after 23 i get halfway through the level and rollback. not a big one maybe like 10 kills or so but still its getting kinda annoying.

Im not complaining I know this is a BIG patch for GW2 and its expected to happen but please get it fixed because you got me addicted and now im living in a virtual groundhog day!!
Oh ya BTW i was guesting when it happened when on home server i gained the levels

Had two DCs so far with the same error codes. Next time I will record it and put it in this message. My connection is fine because I never lost ventrilo during GW2 DCs.

I’m on the 7th or 8th disconnect.

Im getting DC’ed after a few mins of being on after the new jan 28, 13 patch

Does the test team even test these updates? Or do they just sip on coffee all day?

Bring us public test servers and let the public catch these bugs before patch day, these rollbacks are rediculous.

I waypointed out to LA and haven’t dc’d yet. But DR is still under heavy disconnect right now.

I have the same issue. Random roll back, specially around lions arch and surrounding areas.

5 MINS in Divinity’s Reach and I got disconnected and rolled back TWICE. Please fix this.

seems gw2 is broken atm :/ they are gonna have another mass of angry players demanding their lost laurels and achievement points, pumpkin carver progress, wasted time to be comphesated >< i just wish they could test things longer or better and avoid massive problems like these. anyone know if player who finished monthly after the update recieved their laurels? if so that is outrageously unfair to those who got it done yesterday or earlier.

Is there any news anywhere on this? The game is unplayable for me at the moment.

I second this, or …15th it or what ever. I reported the bug in-game but was just making sure it was on the forums too. Hopefully it will be fixed in a hotfix soon.

This is recurring dc is annoying. At least 5 times with each time being within 3 to 6mins
