What is Arena Net doing to fix the code to prevent gold farmers from teleporting from gathering node to gathering node? Because they teleport so quickly it is very difficult to target them to report them. It’s at the point now where they show up in every zone from level 1-80. I get extremely frustrated battling 8 mobs to gather one orrian truffle when a hacker blinks from node to node.

Arena Net should be fixing their code, rather than relying on players to report bots one at a time.

Noticed this the other day. Several bots porting back and forth between a bunch of nodes. Wasn’t quick enough to report them though…..

However, you can help by reporting them with the in-game features, everytime you see one.

I saw a group of about 10-12 bots doing this in Mount Malestrom earlier today. They are all from the same guild (Bluse), the short name is (buz) or (bluz) I can’t remember exactly. I was able to report as many as I could, but don’t think I got them all. These guys weren’t going from node to node, but instead battling the different enemies that would spawn. It is rather annoying though, watching them port around like that. Makes things difficult for me to level up in that area.

This is not always possible. By the time we click on the character, they have blinked out of existence and therefore out of reach for the name reporting. I’ve sent in a few mentioning this problem but without a character name or even a screen shot, it seems pointless to report in-game at the moment.

These teleporting bots are a royal pain and if I could keep their portrait/name up on my screen long enough to get a screen shot, I would. The last screen shot I took, was of an empty space next to a mining node: the portrait and character was just not there any more.

But each one, that is reported successfully will get Anet on the track and helps them find solutions even for the ones that you missed reporting.
