I keep getting ruined ore chunks and ruined plant fibers while using my mad scientist’s harvesting tool and watchwork mining pick. In both high and low level areas and I wasn’t even in combat when farming them. This isn’t the first time this has been an issue and considering these were bought with real money I am getting more and more disappointed. ;_; Especially trying to farm a bunch of mats for guild crap.

You aren’t under the effects of a tonic, or otherwise disguised, are you?

Nope. It happens when I am transformed into something as well though. Just tested it with our guild rush. Same thing happens either way.

You will get ruined mats while transformed.

As far as getting ruined mats while not transformed in any way, you can submit a Bug Report in-game, and/or contact the CS Team via the ‘Support’ link above/below and ‘Submit a Request’ for assistance (this, alone, will garner a response).

While you wait for a response, should you pursue that course of action, you could try a -repair of the client. Instructions found via the same ‘Support’ link (Search – Repair).

I have several times…the only reason why I’m putting here. I haven’t had issues for a while but this has happened several times before in the past too. Just disappointing. Thank you though.

I’ve noticed some ruined plant fibers in my inventory recently, as well, when using my Thresher-Sickle 5000. I made an in-game bug report, but didn’t bother opening a support ticket.

In particular, I’ve experienced this in Kessex Hills while playing a level 80 toon. It’s infrequent enough that I sometimes don’t even notice the ruined plant fiber until much later.

I should add that (in my case at least) the ruined plant fiber appears to be an “extra” resource, since my gather actions always return at least 1 of the expected resource in addition to the ruined plant fiber.
