Guild Wars 2

I have been told before that the ghastly weapons from AC are supposed to glow a blue fire around them. I’ve seen videos on Youtube with them, but when I bought my staff, no such effect. Its just a dull regular skin.

I’m hoping this is a bug, because I recall Anet even saying they are supposed to glow.

Has anyone else come across this?

They only glow during night time

I’ve tried at night, during the day, and during instances, none of them make it glow.

You have to be in the zone as is turns to night.
It’ll glow then. I was disappointed when I found this out AFTER I got my sword.
I’m hoping Anet will revise this because I swap zones pretty frequently, making the glow rare.
The world does 80 minutes of day and 40 minutes of night, if I was given the correct information.
