Hello.

It’s been 3 days I’m going into the Field of Ruin to check the Giant Branded Devourer champion for Hope Collection 4. And sadly, he’s “invisible”. He appears on the event list but he’s not marked on the minimap, I’ve looked everywhere in the zone. Nothing.

Since the other way to kill a Branded Devourer is bugged for months. (The meta chain “Devouring the brand”) it’s the only way to complete the step. I can’t finish my legendary weapon and it’s pretty much frustrating.

Any advice from people who encoutered this bug, I’d like to know if I can managed to debug it instead of waiting for a reset or a patch. >_>

I’m currently in the same boat sadly, and can confirm, have searched and searched and the devourer is nowhere to be found.

I also have this problem. It’s been the last thing I’ve needed to finish HOPE for about 5 days now. I paid real money to help speed it up, only to find out I cannot finish it. Could of saved my money and spent the time it takes anet to fix this, farming.

Well. I think we just have to wait for a reset and crossfingers.

the other qualifiable Champ Devourer in Iron March is broken on the 3rd pre, so cant compete HOPE 4 right now

Just checked again and yep, still invisible.

The escort Vanguard supplies to Doomspy’s watch also gets stuck, as the bull and scout kestra get stuck, maybe this has something to do with it?

Just now went around the area with my mesmer and found that there is a rather large area where the skill Blink gives the “no valid path to target” error. Most of the area this is in is in the sniper’s woods and part of the area where the event for the devourer is bugged. Most of it is also rather flat, so there shouldn’t be any reason it shouldn’t be able to path. Might have something to do with the events that are bugged in that area, including the champ devourer.

I finally found a way under Field of Ruin to see if the Devourer was bugged under the map, but that wasn’t the case at all :/

HOPE 4 collection done

Both events are currently bugged. It’s invisible in Field of Ruins and Sentinel Whiptail and his chain is bugged on the first escort event. The devourer you protect is off on an adventure and Whiptail is stuck in his starting location. This is the only thing keeping me from completing the HOPE IV collection.

Update: After the new build today, I went back to Fields of Ruin. The event to escort the yak through Sniper’s area spawned but would not complete. Shortly after it stalled, the champ icon came up but the devourer is still invisible or otherwise inaccessible. Attempts to use blink and Shortbow 5 all fail in the area with purple ground and in the woods.
I went over to kill the champ queen in stead and the event chain reset and a group of about 6 people all gunning for HOPE collection were able to bring it down and get the item. We started the chain all the way back at Scalecatch wp and followed everything all the way through. Don’t know what bugs it out, but it shouldn’t come down to new builds or server reboots to get necessary items for collections. If the build hadn’t dropped today, who knows how long this would have gone on.

Anet even gonna bother fixing this, i mean the 2nd gen weapons are part of HOT and POF coming soon the current one still buggy.

i ask support if i can just get the item mail to me, waiting for response still, this been bugged for months so yeah, im afraid with POF in a month they wont have time doing bug fixes like this

i tried it earlier, the champion branded devourer queen chain event is not bugged at least the map i was in. so i finally finish my hope today good luck all

- Fields of Ruin Devourer nowhere to be seen.
- I’ve been running around Iron marches in search of ANY of the events of the meta chain for the Devourer Queen but found NONE during the course of an entire day and a half
