So recently, the giant jungle wurm event came up in the Calendon Forest and what happened was that we killed the wurm before it came out of the ground completely because somebody time warped and therefore, it didn’t register as the quest being complete (or the quest didn’t even start yet), which led to no chest, soo Arenanet?

yes please triple the wurms health! this happens to me 3 times wurm dies in 2 seconds either the event never trigger or I just fail to tag the wurm which lead to no chest spawn.

For the Jungle Wurm event, in Wychmire Swamp, can your developers please put a damage shield on the wurm. So when it emerges from the ground it will reflect all damage being done to it back onto its attackers, till it becomes at its mature state. Then buff its health points so those with their AoE and 2handed attacks don’t kill it within mere seconds.

That would put it more in line with a tougher mob and players that want to ruin the event for others (regardless of level) will meet with surprise. Teach a few of those AFK bots a lesson to pay attention as well.

So this is a common thing now? lol
But yes, invulnerability until the wurm has fully spawned may solve the problem but I think all this kind of boss may need a serious re-work like, if you don’t complete at least 1 of the pre-event then no chest for you or like the SB, turn the wurm invulnerable until players kill some adds (you can make it hide like pretty much any other wurm).

same, happens on high population events alot. giving this event a proper scaling should help because he dies waaay to fast (within 1 second).

when i say high population i mean at least 50-80 players

I’ve noticed the same problem with the worm.

I did it with a friend for the first time (and I was supposed to be showing him how the big boss fights were).

The worm popped up, then flopped over. He asked me if the boss was just a regular mob, and not legendary. I didn’t see the circle long enough to be able to tell. :P

Probably a scaling issue. Maybe when the player numbers hit a certain high, it should superscale the enemies. Maybe even give them new abilities. At 50+ add a huge area knockback. At 100+ make the boss burrow and move around. At 200+ make the boss pick up groups of players and swallow them (making them fight their way out of the worm from the inside, maybe even fight grubs while in there).

It happened again in Whiteside Ridge too, please make him at least invulnerable till he’s completely spawn.
