I had 30/50 HoM and I lost everything as well (and I got some mail telling me i lost GWAMM title but I never had it in the first place). This happened just a moment ago

Ive had an in-game mail that I lost my HOMM rewards.
I can also no longer log in to my Guildwars 1 even though its the same login as my guildwars 2.
I can also no longer check my homm calculator for my character even though I should have 30/50.
What is going on?
Same thing, for the love of god Anet, get your act together, we should not have to deal with your incompetence like this, fix my account pronto.
Same here. Had everything maxed and received the message this morning. I submitted a support ticket, but figured I’d also post so others know this seems to be an issue at the moment.
Edit: The game is also weirdly slow to connect this morning. Not sure if related.

I am at the same place, got an in-game mail saying I incorrectly earned the title. I tried to log into my GW1 acct and it would not let me in even though the accts are linked. I have a full 50/50 and GWAMM on the linked GW1 acct.
Same thing happened to me. Got the message and now getting an error when i try and check the HoM Rewards Calculator
anet kitten this up quite often, normally the fix is logging out of GW2 logging into GW1 and then back to GW2, its like the 3rd time ive lost the titles now.

Same, I never had Gwam I had “I have Many Leather Bound Books” – “Flameseeker” title 41/50 I have lost that and all previous titles and lost all Achievement points associated with this track. I have submitted a ticket but annoyed… I have not tryed to log in GW1 but now I am afraid to…
Just tryed to log GW1 but keep getting error code-42
Edit: managed to finally login to GW1 and confirm my titles. Reloaded GW2 and points and titles been reinstated again. Server communication issue?

i’m 42/50 on my main account gw1 and i lost all rewards and titles on my guildwars 2 account. can’t log on my main gw1 account.
Mine just restored itself somehow, I kinda knew it would as soon as it logged in at the correct speed instead of slowly. This is 2nd or 3rd time I’ve had this error happen, it’s very annoying and quite frankly continues to lower my opinion of Anet as a company.

I can log into gw1again but all my stuff is still gone.
Go to the Hall of Monuments in GW1 and talk to the guy that switches your view between single character and account. Swap it back and forth. I did that and my achievements came back in GW2.
I also could not log in for a bit in GW1 but it seems to be back on line now.
Sometimes, all you have to do is close GW2 and reopen. If that fails, with GW2 closed, start any toon on GW1, close GW1, and restart GW2. (And if that fails, follow cdsmith’s suggestion.)
GW2 periodically double-checks to make sure your GW1 titles are ‘earned’ and occasionally, can’t reach the HoM calculator API to do so. If that happens, you automatically get an email saying those titles are being revoked. Sometime after, GW2 rechecks and if it still can’t verify, it revokes the titles.
Starting GW1 (and sometimes entering the Hall) forces the two games to start talking to each other, which resolves the issue… well, unless GW1 is completely down (in which case, it will get resolved when it comes back up).
tl;dr don’t panic. The problem will fix itself eventually or enter GW1 to jump start the repair.

See above — it wasn’t “broken”; the connection between GW1 & GW2 was momentarily lost, causing GW2 to lose track of your GW1 achievements.
Or put another way, the disappearance of the HoM/GWaMM reward|titles is a symptom of a different issue, one that resolves itself in a short while.

We had a brief desync between GW and GW2. It’s nothing major, but we’ll have information soon, including a workaround to reset things. All is well with your account.

I apologize for making this unclear — it’s the exact opposite situation: they’ve prevented people from acquiring the titles without verification. That unfortunately has the side effect that legit achievers can temporarily be unable to display it.
Fortunately, it only happens when something unusual happens, such as GW1 going down.
You never lost your title; it just stopped displaying properly in GW2.

I have the feeling that part is missing a “not” as I dont think you want people that have all their rewards to contact support in a few hours. I believe it should be clear for most people what is meant but some might understand it wrong. Unless you want support to get spammed with “I still have my rewards”-tickets in a few hours.

This is happening again. It seems to be the same issue.

All we wanted was a GvG.
again… this is now the 5th time …
yep have this bug and cant login to gw1 or reset pw at all :/

I’m sorry that you have to deal with this issue again, but you didn’t “lose” the AP; it will be back as soon as GW1 can communicate properly with GW2 again. Wait it out. There’s nothing that ANet can do in the short term that will make this better (and the long term solution requires them figuring out why GW1 is going down).
Now it happened to me too. Last time I wasn’t affected. I tried to follow the instructions in this post but my HoM in GW1 seems to be missing all my armors (it only shows 2), weapons (only shows 1!!!), etc… nevertheless I talked to Kimmes in GW1, then in GW2, but he still says I am not the descendent of myself
Edit: I tried to re-log once again and now it works. For info, the first time I logged in today (when I got the message), it took quite a long time to log in.

Just had this problem, logged it. Booted up GW1 and immediately fixed after talking to Kimmes in the first game (I had already pestered him in 2 before checking 1).
Is there a difference why some had this one on Friday and others today? I’m on EU servers both.

Just got the issue as well. Lost the title and 500ish ap. This is the 1st time this has happened to my account. I suspect as the day progresses and more ppl log on, we will hear more cases.

This happens whenever GW2 can’t talk to GW1. It will resolve itself or you can connect to GW1 manually with your linked account, and enter the game with any character; that should take care of it more quickly.

Well but I needed to do it two days ago, like Gaile mentioned (that fixed it) and today again to fix it again.
So it didn’t resolved itself for me.
But, those are two separate incidents. This particular ‘bug’ happens sporadically; it could be 6 months, a year, or this rare twice-in-two days occurrence.
Have you tried just logging out (of GW2) completely, and logging back in? Just that works, for some, some of the time.

That would fix all current and future disconnect issues. I experienced it once myself and it was quite stressful.

That’s how it used to work. Then there was a bug and a lot of people were able to acquire the AP plus the titles, without having earned them and … there was no way to remove them. ANet disabled the titles quickly, fixed the root cause soon after, but it took them 6 months (maybe more) to remove the titles from those who hadn’t earned them.
Writing a script to lock some data is easy enough; making sure that it doesn’t do anything unexpected and doesn’t have horrid consequences in the future is much more difficult.
In other words: it’s certainly possible; it might not be a good idea.
Plus, the circumstances that caused the issue are rare: GW1 has to be down (or at least, part of its server system has to be). That’s something that has an incredibly stable uptime, i.e. it’s nearly always up. As the budding reporter wrote on the final exam to explain how plates of ice can form in the air, “sleet happens” — stable systems sometimes wig out and we just need to be patient about it.
